PAC is soluble into water to form thick liquid, can enhance the drilling fluid viscosity and control the fluid loss; PAC can efficiently carry the filler into the cracks of well, establish the permeability pathway, control the fluid into the well structure, reduce the fluid loss, and reduce the pressure drop.
PAC can be used as fluid-loss control additive, mud stabilizer and water retaining agent and component of fracturing fluid in oil drilling. It has medium to high molecular weight which can also increase viscosity of the drilling mud.
